ARTIST STATEMENT

At the core of my practice is the pursuit of creating worlds where the boundaries between reality and imagination dissolve. Hybrid beings, fantastical forms, and metaphorical landscapes serve as guides into these realms, reflecting the layered nature of human identity and opening the possibility of another reality—one liberated from prejudice.

Where I once constructed a personal pantheon of imagined creatures and ornamental forms, my attention has now shifted toward nature. Within its rhythms and structures, I encounter the same sense of mystery and estrangement that previously emerged only from within the imagination. Nature becomes both mirror and portal: the documentary is transfigured into the fantastical, while the real discloses itself as magical.

This shift opens a dynamic space of exchange between the internal and the external. A world that once existed solely in my mind now takes root in the surrounding environment, while reality itself is revealed as myth.

My practice is a continuous search for intersections between the documentary and the fictional. I seek to construct visual spaces in which the viewer not only observes but also confronts their own imagination. This encounter becomes an experience of freedom—of inhabiting a self beyond familiar images and restrictive structures, within a space where new understandings of beauty, identity, and reality may emerge.
