Portraits of the little beasts

Portraits of the little beasts

In this series of paintings, I create portraits of creatures that could inhabit the Earth if its evolution had proceeded without human interference. These are fantasy images of an alternative nature where evolution has moved on its natural path, free from human influence.
The project speaks of humanity as an ecosystem that, instead of being an integrated part of nature, tries to control it. The animals become not only metaphors for what has been lost, but also a message of hope: if we learn to respect and understand the world around us, and each other, perhaps one day we will see a new harmony, even more beautiful than the one that has been lost.
